#31. NEW TOURIST TIPS 

Tourist guides to New York City will have to update their listings. 

    Fodors: “Visit Washington Square Park for a free high.”         

    Rick Steeves: “Big Apple Blunts Bloom in Washington Square!” 

    Lonely Planet: “Toast Garibaldi with Ganga!” 

    Time Out: “Share a Spliff, Take a Whiff.” 

So, what’s legal? Still a bit confusing. As of March 2021, in New York City you can smoke weed almost anywhere you might smoke a cigarette. Problem is, the City also has a ban on smoking of any kind in all parks. 

But fear not. During the pandemic the police seem to let that law pass. Especially in Washington Square. Often, I smell it before I get into the Park.
